McDonald, from Franklin, TN (just south of Nashville). I had originally ordered a 1998 Ram
Air Trans Am. I had never owned a Corvette and I love Pontiacs. My father had owned
Corvettes when I was a teenager, and he suggested I look at the new Corvettes. The car
sold itself. This is my beautiful 1998, 6 speed, high performance suspension Corvette
Coupe with active handling. This was one of the last 6 speed cars with the USA version of
the manual transmission and one of the first cars with the active handling option. I feel
very lucky. I added the Mallett 435 wheels and Michelin Pilot MXX3 tires for better
handling and straight line performance. I also added the LS1 Power Pack, Mongoose 400
exhaust, ported mass airflow sensor, throttle body coolant bypass tube, adjustable fuel
pressure regulator, timing tricker and brighter headlights. This is the only car I own,
and I drive it every day. The only regret I have is that I did not get the CD changer. My
dealer gave me a glass top for $650. I have not had any problems with the car at all. I
have had it since April 23, 1998. I am a lifetime member of the National Corvette Museum
